"Let'southward Twist Again" is a vocal written by Kal Isle of man and Dave Appell, and released as a single by Stubby Checker. 1 of the biggest hit singles of 1961, information technology reached No.eight on the U.S. Billboard pop chart (No.iii on Cash Box) in August of that yr and after reached No.2 in the U.K. in February 1962. The song was covered in French past Johnny Hallyday. His version (titled "Viens danser le twist") was released in 1961 and spent seven weeks in total at no. 1 on the singles sales chart in France (from xiii November to 13 December 1961 and from 13 January to 9 February 1962).[16] In Wallonia (French Belgium) his single spent twoscore weeks on the nautical chart, besides peaking at number 1.[17]
